Wet & Windy Waiheke Island

Since arriving in Auckland 7 weeks ago, I've had so much drive and motivation for my work that I've not really let myself get into "vacation mode" yet. My free time is spent in coffee shops editing my latest shoot and planning the next, but last weekend it was time to get out of the city and enjoy the beauty of New Zealand.

Amanda and I took the ferry across to Waiheke Island for some coastal walks and island dining, but the trip was unfortunately cut short when we awoke to a storm on the second day, and didn't want to risk ferry cancellation.

Beautiful scenery, lots of walking, hours waiting for no-show busses and returning drenched and windswept, this is our trip in photographs.
